Who Is a Jew? (Redux)

The NY Times Magazine cover story today is about how increasingly difficult it has become for some Jews, especially America Jews, to be defined as Jews in Israel. Of course, I would not be accepted as a Jew in Israel because my mother was not born a Jew and I seriously doubt her conversation was Orthodox (I've never found anyone who could tell me).
