Israel trip, Day 1

Long flight, after having to disembark at 2 a.m. in Heathrow, and then 4+ hours to Tel Aviv.  Picked up promptly at the airport by the tour company, and whisked to Jerusalem and our hotel, the Prima Royale.  



The city is gorgeous, especially driving into it from the west, and driving through it at night. The weather is perfect. 


 



We had a delicious dinner at a cafe around the corner from our hotel - Cafe Paradiso on King George St:


 



Then a quick visit to the Kotel (Western Wall), which was extremely meaningful for all of us. Great first day.
